Favorite Literary Quotes:
“The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of the infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.” – H.P. Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu
“I’m a man with a rule. People leave me alone, I leave them alone. If they don’t, I don’t.” – Lee Child, Nothing to Lose
Coffee or Tea:
Photography, fishing, & writing (badly).
If you could interview any author, living or dead, who would it be and why?
H.P. Lovecraft. I’ve spent a couple hours at a time with far worse people, and at least Lovecraft would keep things interesting.
A Lil’ Something Extra:
To my neighbor: the “guardian angel” you told my wife has been leaving the uplifting messages in your mailbox isn’t your wife. It’s the guy from across the street whose son you yelled at for kicking a ball into your bushes. And while I thought that was an a**hole move on your part, I won’t stop leaving the messages, because I think if anyone needs to know that the world can be a good place, it’s you. And to anyone else who needs a reminder that the world isn’t always as sh**** as it seems in the news, I’d like to share Mr. Donnison’s Christmas-week quote:
“I will love the light, for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness, for it shows me the stars.” (Og Mandino)
